"Where are you going?" he asked her when she stood. He reached for her wrist, finding her hand instead, and she turned around.

"To get a flashlight, of course," she replied. "Why?" she asked quietly as he also stood up. He looked at her in the faint light, and a flash of lightning lit up the room momentarily. Her breath caught when she felt his hands find their way around her waist. "I'm not going to get a flashlight, am I?"

Uncontrollably, his mind took him back to where he didn't want to go.
