He nodded. "You need not thank me. There is no where else I could possibly be at this moment." He turned the doorknob and opened it slowly. "And do not hide yourself from me either, Alexis. You do not have to be strong for me. I know you are not weak, but I also know that you are afraid. I will be whatever it is you need."

Burn the Day

This is probably the first Luke/Alexis story I ever read. I already wanted them as a couple, and reading this incredible tale of lust and revenge only made me want them more. Bea will probably say it's not very good but don't believe her. It's *very* good.

The little girl in the pictures, no more than eight or nine years old, was covered in bruises. Her eyes were swelled and her lip was bleeding. Luke shuddered at the image. Even thought her eyes were almost closed, he could see the haunted look in them. When he looked up at Alexis now, he could still see the same look now.

Learning How to Fall

Written with Pam, this story is an incredible read. Grief slowly brings Sonny and Alexis together. From then on, things are never boring. This story is an incredible characterization of both Sonny and Alexis, alone and as a couple. Read it!

"Where are you going?" he asked her when she stood. He reached for her wrist, finding her hand instead, and she turned around.

"To get a flashlight, of course," she replied. "Why?" she asked quietly as he also stood up. He looked at her in the faint light, and a flash of lightning lit up the room momentarily. Her breath caught when she felt his hands find their way around her waist. "I'm not going to get a flashlight, am I?"
